Partnering with Arrow International, the BDX team enjoyed working on this workshop extension and upgrade of an existing building to achieve a fast and efficient result that pulled the whole project ahead on schedule.
This Northland project involved all the fabricating required to extend an existing building to a size of 16 x 22m and upgrade the facility to ensure it now meets modern earthquake standards.
Working alongside Arrow, the BDX team worked within their health and safety policies and site safety audits to ensure the site works were safe at all times. The team used a combination of onsite fabrication, with BDX’s mobile facilities, as well as the large scale commercial engineering workshop for construction of the larger beams.
Rhys Mckenzie is Construction Project Manager at Arrow International (NZ), and had this to say:
“BDX are proactive, efficient, and reliable. Since first working with BDX (formally Black Dog Steel Works) in 2014 they have become my ‘go to’ guys when I need help with challenging projects.
Their ability to engage, understand, plan and solve technical issues early in these projects has allowed us to develop and execute innovative solutions, producing safe, fast, and high quality workmanship in environments that challenge all of these aspects.”
